Denizli implements Solar Tree project for renewable energy

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality has implemented a new renewable energy project called the ‘Solar Tree’ at the Koşu Yolu recreation and walking area in the Yenişehir neighborhood. The project aims to integrate renewable energy into daily urban life and promote energy efficiency in public spaces.

The Solar Tree is a steel construction designed with a leaf-like aesthetic to match the city's modern architecture. It features five high-efficiency solar panels capable of producing an average of 8 kWh of electricity per day. The energy collected during the day is stored and used to power the lighting systems along Koşu Yolu at night.

In addition to energy production, the structure serves as a functional public amenity. It includes modern seating areas equipped with eight charging sockets (USB-A and USB Type-C), allowing citizens to charge mobile phones and other portable electronic devices while resting.
