Denizli launches educational project on Müftü Ahmet Hulusi Efendi

The Denizli Provincial Directorate of National Education has launched the “One Banner, One City, One Hero: Müftü Ahmet Hulusi Efendi” project. Designed for primary school students, the initiative will be implemented in both public and private schools across Denizli throughout the 2026-2027 academic year.

The project aims to pass down the historical legacy, patriotism, and struggle of Müftü Ahmet Hulusi Efendi, a key figure in the Turkish War of Independence, to future generations. The launch event, held at Merkezefendi Şehit Burak Erten Primary School, included an animation film and various student workshops involving reading, painting, and poetry.

Denizli Governor Yavuz Selim Köşger attended the program, emphasizing the importance of instilling national history consciousness and values in young people. He noted that the project first aims to educate the Denizli region before being introduced to the rest of Turkey.
