Denizli Metropolitan Municipality launches infrastructure and social service initiatives
Denizli Metropolitan Municipality is implementing several local initiatives to improve infrastructure and social services. In the Acıpayam district, the Water and Sewerage Administration (DESKİ) is investing 32.7 million TL to address water shortages in the Karaismailler neighborhood. The project involves laying an 11,844-meter drinking water transmission line using modern, pressure-resistant pipes to ensure a sustainable water supply and mitigate the effects of regional drought.
Simultaneously, the municipality is conducting a comprehensive field study to create a socio-economic map of its neighborhoods. Teams of social service experts and sociologists are visiting households and meeting with local officials to identify citizens in need of social assistance. This data-driven approach aims to ensure that social aid is distributed transparently and reaches the most vulnerable populations, while also identifying infrastructure gaps for future municipal planning.
