Denizli Municipality provides GPS tracker to Alzheimer's patient's family

After a two-day search in a forested area, 65-year-old Alzheimer's patient Fatma Aylak was found safe and has been hospitalized for treatment. The search involved coordinated efforts between local institutions and volunteers following her disappearance from her home in Denizli.

In response to the incident, the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality provided the family with a free GPS-supported smart tracking device through its ‘Bizimle Yalnız Değilsiniz’ (You Are Not Alone With Us) project. Managed by the Department of Social Services, this initiative aims to ensure the safety of individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, autism, and mental disabilities. The device allows the family to monitor the patient's location in real-time, 24/7, via a mobile phone to prevent future incidents.
