Denmark: 60 percent of households report pest infestations
A new member survey from LB Forsikring reveals that 60 percent of Danes have experienced pest infestations in their homes within the last three years. The most common pests reported include ants (25 percent), silverfish (23.5 percent), and earwigs (17.6 percent). Other reported pests include wasp nests, moths, rats, and mice.
Experts warn that falling autumn temperatures may drive rats indoors in search of warmth, water, and food. Maiken Sjöberg Russ, head of Car and Home at LB Forsikring, emphasized the importance of early detection and management to prevent larger issues. The survey also indicated that 60 percent of respondents felt uncertain about how to properly handle the pests they encountered.
