Denmark Advances Senior Housing Projects in Korsør and Nivå

The Slagelse municipal council has moved a senior co‑housing development on the former library site in Korsør toward approval. The plan calls for up to 42 senior‑adapted apartments across low‑rise blocks and townhouses, plus a shared house, roof terrace, green spaces and new pathways. A local‑plan amendment will raise height limits to 13.5 m and increase building density, with a public eight‑week consultation scheduled before a final council decision.

Ambea, through its Danish subsidiary Altiden, signed a contract to build an 88‑place elderly home in Nivå, Fredensborg Municipality. Construction is slated for completion in 2028 and follows Denmark’s 2025 senior‑care law that encourages private operators to expand modern care facilities. The project involves partners MT Højgaard Danmark and Northern Horizon and reinforces Ambea’s growth in the Danish market.
