Denmark agricultural sector highlights historical traditions and transition challenges

A report from the Local Government Denmark (KL) regarding the green tripartite agreement suggests that while there is significant will to act among municipalities and landowners, the transition faces structural barriers. Challenges include a lack of necessary resources and competencies within municipalities to implement environmental policies, as well as the need for greater regulatory clarity regarding nitrogen regulation to provide landowners with the certainty required to engage in land conversion projects.
