Denmark and Sweden issue heat warnings as temperatures surge

Denmark's Meteorological Institute (DMI) placed almost the entire country under an orange heat alert on Friday, the second‑highest warning level, set to remain in force until Sunday night. Forecasts call for temperatures to climb to around 35 °C in the southern and eastern regions, accompanied by humid air that will increase the perceived heat.

Meanwhile, Sweden's Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) issued a yellow alert for the southern part of the country for Friday and Saturday, with daytime temperatures expected to reach at least 30 °C. Authorities have warned vulnerable groups to take extra precautions.

The Copenhell metal festival in Copenhagen, running from Wednesday to Saturday, has advised attendees to stay well hydrated and protect themselves from the heat.
