Denmark reports multiple combine harvester and industrial fires

On Sunday, fire crews in Djursland responded to two separate combine‑harvester fires on a meadow near Kolind and on Holtbakkevej in Trustrup, as well as a separate blaze in a plantation near Knebel. Firefighters from stations in Grenaa, Fjellerup, Kolind and other local units worked through the night to contain the incidents.

Earlier in the week, a combine harvester ignited a 200‑square‑metre rye field owned by Aalborg councilman Jan Nymark Thaysen near Kongerslev. Quick action by two young farm assistants using powder extinguishers prevented the fire from spreading.

Later, Lolland‑Falster fire services tackled a container fire at the Alfa Laval plant in Nakskov. The blaze involved flammable vapours but was isolated to the container and was extinguished without reaching the main production facilities.

On Monday, a combine harvester caught fire on a field outside Breum, north of Skive. Eleven firefighters controlled the blaze after about ninety minutes; the machine was destroyed but no injuries were reported.
