Denmark fire services respond to multiple harvest-related fires

Emergency services in Denmark have responded to multiple fires linked to the ongoing harvest season. In Ebeltoft, fire crews attended a blaze on a harvested field that reached the edge of a nearby forest; the fire was brought under control by authorities.

In the Midt- and West Jutland region, Brand & Redning MidtVest responded to three simultaneous incidents. These included two field fires in the Ringkøbing-Skjern area, one of which occurred near Stauning, and a fire involving a straw baler near Brande. Officials noted that such incidents are common during the August harvest, often caused by machinery striking stones and creating sparks. In the Brande incident, a farmer managed to prevent the fire from spreading to his tractor before the baler was completely destroyed.
