Denmark focuses on research policy and industrial green transition

Denmark is preparing for upcoming negotiations regarding the 2027 research reserve, following a multi-year strategy that prioritizes green missions, AI, quantum technology, and defense technology. Christian Kjær Monsson of Dansk Industri argues that current research policies overlook the importance of factory floors and production technology, which he claims are essential for strengthening competitiveness and helping small to medium-sized enterprises automate production.

In a related development regarding industrial resilience, a major business conference is scheduled for November 18 at Avedøre Holme. The event, titled ‘Fremtidens Robuste Virksomheder Skabes Sammen’, will bring together decision-makers and specialists to discuss supply chain pressures, electrification, and green energy. Minister for Business and Competitiveness Martin Lidegaard is expected to speak on government business policy and the prospects for green transition and competitiveness. The Avedøre Holme area aims to serve as a national model for industrial cooperation in energy, resources, and biodiversity.
