Denmark heat pump subsidy waiting times nearly double

The waiting period for heat pump subsidies in Denmark has increased significantly over the past year. According to data obtained by the business organization TEKNIQ from the Danish Energy Agency, the time homeowners must wait for subsidy payouts has risen from 19 days to 34 days, representing an increase of nearly 80 percent.

Additionally, it can take up to 14 days from the moment of approval until the funds are deposited into an account. TEKNIQ’s sustainability chief, Troels Hartung, warned that administrative delays and slow processing could discourage families from choosing green energy solutions as they transition away from oil and gas.
