Denmark hosts historical steam train trips and Neolithic tomb openings
Denmark is hosting several unique historical experiences during the autumn holidays. From October 10 to October 14, the Danish Railway Museum will operate the steam locomotive K 563 on the Coast Line (Kystbanen). This nostalgic journey will run between Copenhagen and Helsingør, offering passengers a chance to experience a vintage locomotive in motion.
In another cultural event, the 5,000-year-old Kobbelhøj megalithic tomb near Lundby is opening its doors to the public for a special viewing. Following recent archaeological restoration work, visitors can enter the Neolithic burial chamber, which features large stone blocks and a long passage. The event includes information regarding the site's history and recent findings, such as amber beads discovered during excavations.
