Denmark hosts various cultural and historical events this weekend
Various cultural and historical events are scheduled across Denmark for the upcoming weekend.
In Lundby, south of Aalborg, the Kobbelhøj passage grave will host a public event on Sunday, October 4. Visitors can explore the 5,000-year-old Neolithic burial chamber, which measures 3.60 meters long, 1.90 meters wide, and 1.50 meters high. The event will detail recent restoration work conducted by Nordjyske Museer, the Agency for Culture and Palaces, and Morsø Skov og Natur, which uncovered findings such as amber beads.
Samsø Island features a diverse program including a screening of an award-winning Estonian documentary at Biografen Samsø, a charity art exhibition at Galleri Unika Fotokunst, and tours of the Sams Island Distillery. Additionally, the Samsø Foredragsforening will celebrate its 150th anniversary with lectures and local festivities.
In Thy, activities include a book café focused on forbidden literature in Thisted, classical music performances at Vestervig Kirkemusikskole, and a jazz concert featuring violinist Bjarke Falgren.
