Denmark reports multiple violent crimes and knife attacks

Denmark is experiencing a series of violent criminal incidents involving knives and physical assaults across several regions.

In Køge, a 17-year-old student was reportedly chased by two youths with a knife during a school break, leading to fears regarding safety at Campus Køge. Meanwhile, in Aarhus, two youths were arrested following a targeted attack at Vestergårdsskolen where a student was struck with kicks, punches, and pepper spray. In Roskilde and Kalundborg, police arrested three men suspected of carrying out two separate knife attacks.

Other significant legal developments include a 35-year-old man from Ballerup being sentenced to six years in prison for an attempted murder involving seven knife wounds. In Nykøbing Falster, a 31-year-old Belarusian man received a two-year sentence and a permanent entry ban for his involvement in an eight-million-kroner truck theft scheme. Additionally, police in Haderslev have detained a 24-year-old man following a pursuit that resulted in a police officer shooting the suspect in the leg.
