Denmark: Local political debate and road closures

In Copenhagen, local politician Christian Bülow of the Danish People's Party has called for the dissolution of the Council for Visual Arts. The proposal follows a controversy regarding the purchase of three stone sculptures resembling bacon slices for 24,000 kroner. Bülow argued that the expenditure is inappropriate during a period of necessary budget cuts, contrasting the work with traditional craftsmanship.

In East Jutland, Route 507 between Hadsund and Randers remains closed following an accident involving a truck carrying several tons of wood pellets. The road was blocked in both directions, with cleanup efforts expected to continue until Wednesday morning.

Additionally, the Danish Parliament is set to begin processing a citizen-led proposal aimed at improving conditions for pigs in Danish stables. The proposal has gained unprecedented support, surpassing 100,000 signatures.
