Denmark media satisfaction report highlights immigration coverage concerns
A report from Roskilde University regarding Danish news consumption habits indicates that while most Danes are satisfied with media coverage of major global events, there is significant dissatisfaction regarding immigration and migration reporting.
While topics such as the conflict in Ukraine, Donald Trump’s presidency, and inflation receive relatively high marks for coverage, migration remains a point of contention. This coincides with domestic discussions regarding the processing of citizenship applications. Approximately 16,000 applicants are currently in a waiting period as authorities work to implement a screening model designed to detect anti-Danish sentiment among those seeking citizenship.
