Denmark Minister proposes ban on AI digital imitations

Danish Culture Minister Zenia Stampe is advocating for a ban on the sharing of AI-generated digital imitations of real people. The proposal aims to address the rise of misinformation, noting that several politicians have already been targeted in fake social media posts using such technology.

The minister hopes that new legislation can be implemented by the turn of the year to prohibit these types of AI copies.
