Denmark police traffic stops result in drug and alcohol charges

Police in North Jutland stopped a passenger car on Østergade in Aabybro after suspecting the driver of drug use. A cocaine test was positive and the driver, who was also disqualified from driving, was charged with drug‑driving. Additional charges were filed against the car owner for allowing an unlicensed driver to use the vehicle, and two passengers were charged after police found hash, cocaine, pills and a folding knife in their possession.

In East Jutland, officers stopped a vehicle on Skanderborgvej in Hammel and found the 59‑year‑old driver severely over the legal alcohol limit. He was arrested and charged with a traffic law violation and faces a fine and a conditional loss of his driving licence after a blood test confirms his blood‑alcohol level.
