Denmark Pride celebrations in Copenhagen and Bornholm draw crowds
Nørrebro Pride returned to Copenhagen on 15 August 2026, staging a protest at Palæstinas Plads at noon before marching to Folkets Hus. Organisers framed the event as a political rally for queer, trans, Black and brown peoples, denouncing anti‑immigrant and anti‑trans legislation and expressing solidarity with global struggles.
A week later, on 22 August 2026, Pride Bornholm held its annual parade through the streets of Rønne, beginning at 13:30. The celebration continued on Store Torv with performances by Bryan Rice, a Eurovision Pride Drag Show, poetry readings and a concert by the local heavy band DEADÖSAURUS, followed by an after‑party at Musikhuzet. Both events emphasized diversity, community and resistance.
The two Danish Pride gatherings attracted local residents and visitors, highlighting the country’s ongoing commitment to LGBTQ+ visibility and cultural inclusion.
