Denmark provides 750 million DKK loan guarantee to Fire Point
The Danish government has issued a 750 million DKK loan guarantee to the Danish subsidiary of Fire Point, a Ukrainian defense company. The state guarantee is intended to facilitate financing that the company would otherwise struggle to obtain under standard terms due to the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Fire Point is establishing a production facility in Vojens, located in Southern Jutland near Skrydstrup Air Base. The facility is designed to produce solid rocket fuel. While the project aims to strengthen European security and the Ukrainian defense industry by creating secure supply chains away from Russian attacks, production is now expected to begin in late 2027, a one-year delay from the original schedule due to construction timelines.
Minister for Industry, Business and Competitiveness Martin Lidegaard stated that the move aims to make both Ukraine and Europe more resilient. Defense Minister Jeppe Bruus added that hosting the company allows for technological exchange and protects critical production from direct military strikes.
