Denmark recalls Lidl products and warns on Ukrainian noodles over salmonella

Lidl Denmark has withdrawn several frozen food items after testing showed a risk of salmonella in MCENNEDY BBQ spareribs and an unknown microbiological status for Chef Select Biksemad, while frozen organic strawberries were pulled due to detected norovirus. Consumers are instructed to discard or return the products to any Lidl store for a refund.

Separately, Danish health authorities have linked a salmonella outbreak that has affected more than 80 people across nine European countries to instant noodles produced by a Ukrainian manufacturer. Three Danish children were hospitalized. Officials advise against eating the flavored noodles straight from the packet and recommend cooking them according to instructions to reduce infection risk.
