Denmark reports multiple local incidents, including shop and cleaner fires

On July 11, a fire broke out in a shop on Madehusvej in Sønderborg, producing heavy smoke that drifted toward Vollerup. Authorities advised residents to stay indoors, close windows and doors, and turn off ventilation. In Skive, a short‑circuit in a high‑pressure cleaner caused a fire on Viborgvej, which spread slightly before being contained by police and fire crews.

Other incidents reported the same day include a traffic accident on the E45 motorway between Kolding and Frøslev that blocked the left lane and caused delays of up to 30 minutes, a 28‑year‑old driver caught with cannabis and cocaine near Vorbasse, and a 36‑year‑old man who assaulted police officers in Børkop, leading to his arrest after officers used pepper spray. Additionally, politicians in the German state of Schleswig‑Holstein announced plans to allow hunting of problem wolves under new federal regulations.

These events highlight a range of safety and public‑order challenges across Denmark and parts of neighboring Germany.
