On the same day, the second stage of the PostNord Danmark Rundt cycling race passed through Skive, temporarily closing a number of streets from about 16:00 to 18:00. Two days earlier, on 28 July 2026, a lane on the E45 motorway between Vejle S and Skærup was blocked after cargo fell from a vehicle, restricting the right‑hand lane. The incident was reported on the Road Directorate’s traffic map.
