Denmark rolls out AI tools for schools: exam monitoring and movement assistance

The Danish Ministry of Education, led by Minister Magnus Heunicke, announced a package of measures to curb the misuse of artificial intelligence in secondary schools. The plan includes requiring an oral defence of the major written assignment (SSO) and introducing screen‑monitoring software during examinations to detect cheating.

Separately, the organization Dansk Skoleidræt launched an AI assistant called “Bevæg‑Else”. The tool acts as a chatbot and search engine, drawing on the organisation’s database of over 1,200 exercises and 20,000 user‑generated lesson plans to help teachers and pedagogues quickly find movement‑focused activities and lesson ideas for school classes.
