Denmark: Two Local Fires Prompt Evacuations and Neighbor Help

A fire broke out in a summer house on Skovduevej in Odder, producing heavy smoke. One person escaped the building and was taken to an ambulance for a smoke‑inhalation check. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, later attributing it to a forgotten item on the stove.

In Herning municipality, a blaze ignited in a legehus (playhouse) close to a stable south of Sinding. Neighbouring residents handed a powder extinguisher to the fire crew, helping to keep the fire from spreading to the stable. The playhouse was destroyed, but no other property was damaged and there were no injuries.
