Telemark fatal collision closes E134 highway

A fatal head-on collision involving two cars occurred in the Vågslidtunnelen on the E134 highway in Vinje municipality, Telemark. The accident, reported around 16:30, resulted in the death of one person.

Emergency services responded to the scene, where two of the three individuals involved were initially trapped in their vehicles. Following their release, two people were transported to the trauma center at Skien hospital, while a third person was airlifted to Ullevål hospital in critical condition. Police later confirmed that the individual transported to Ullevål has died.

The E134 highway was closed in both directions for an extended period to allow accident investigators and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration to conduct their work. One person has been charged in connection with the accident.
