Denmark's Finance Ministry to relocate to regional areas

Danish Finance Minister Peter Hummelgaard is launching an initiative to move the Ministry of Finance to different parts of the country to foster better geographical balance and engage with local communities.

The ministry is scheduled to visit Nakskov on Lolland on September 21, where the minister and staff will meet with local businesses, politicians, and organizations. This is intended to provide input for the government's upcoming plans regarding regional development.

Following this, the ministry will relocate to Nykøbing Mors on October 5. Jens Dahlgaard, the Mayor of Morsø Municipality, noted that the visit is intended to be more than a symbolic gesture, allowing local leaders to discuss both regional strengths and economic challenges directly with the minister.
