According to Professor Michael Bang Petersen of Copenhagen University, the research project Magtudredningen 2.0, commissioned by the Folketinget, documents a rise in government‑led negotiations, a doubling of ministerial authorisations, and an expanding central coordination through cross‑ministerial units. The study also notes a rise in party‑line voting from 39 % in 1980 to 68 % in 2017, indicating tighter party discipline.
