Denmark's search and rescue helicopter readiness fails audit
The Danish National Audit Office has issued a report stating that the Danish Ministry of Defence is failing to meet essential requirements for search and rescue (SAR) readiness.
Despite the military discontinuing troop transport exercises using the controversial EH101 helicopters, the fleet continues to fall short of operational standards. The audit indicates that the helicopter readiness program is unable to fulfill more than half of the necessary requirements for search and rescue services in Denmark.
