Denmark's Vrå Udstillingen and Aarhus Festuge highlight 2026 art
Vrå Udstillingen 2026, a long‑standing Danish art exhibition, presents more than 200 works spanning painting, graphics, sculpture, installation, architecture, textile and ceramics. The programme emphasizes the relationship between art and nature, climate change, identity and societal themes, with a notable increase in architectural projects that blur the line between building and artwork.
Aarhus Festuge 2026 expands its street‑theater programme, featuring international groups such as Spain’s Grupo Puja! with the aerial show “KAOSMOS”, the Dutch theatre concert “BULK”, Italy’s Stalker Teatro and other performances across the city. Festival director Jakob Tekla Jørgensen stresses the aim of bringing art directly to the public, supported by the Salling Foundations, to surprise and unite audiences in everyday urban spaces.
