Dennikia Rachelle Boyce arrested in North Carolina for Virginia double murder
Dennikia Rachelle Boyce, 37, has been arrested in Scotland Neck, North Carolina, by the U.S. Marshals Service after being on the run for approximately seven weeks. Boyce is wanted in Virginia on two counts of second-degree murder.
The charges stem from a July 24 shooting at a Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) equipment yard in Chesterfield County. The victims, identified as contractors Rai'Shon Eugene Delarge, 30, and Philip Avery Wilson, 34, were killed during the incident, which authorities described as a case of domestic violence.
Boyce, a former employee of the Virginia Department of Corrections, faces a federal charge of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. She is currently being held at the Halifax County Detention Center in North Carolina while Virginia State Police coordinate her extradition to face the murder charges.
