Dennis Hauger joins AJ Foyt Racing for 2027 IndyCar season

AJ Foyt Racing has announced a multiyear agreement with Dennis Hauger, starting with the 2027 IndyCar season. The 23-year-old Norwegian driver will take over the No. 14 Chevrolet entry, replacing Santino Ferrucci.

Hauger enters the team following a successful stint as the 2026 IndyCar Rookie of the Year while racing for Dale Coyne Racing. His previous achievements include winning the 2025 IndyNXT championship, the 2021 FIA Formula 3 title, and the 2019 Italian Formula 4 championship.

Team president Larry Foyt noted Hauger’s ability to adapt and win quickly when moving into new categories. Hauger will drive the Homes for our Troops car, which features a signature American flag livery. The team is expected to make further announcements regarding the driver for its second car in the coming weeks.
