Dennis Haysbert and Ashley Greene join cast of horror film ‘Deify’

Filmmakers Carmelo and Nicholas Chimera have announced seven new principal cast members for the indie psychological horror film ‘Deify’. The new additions include Dennis Haysbert, Ashley Greene, Kirk Acevedo, Casey Hartnett, and Anji White.

Currently in production in Chicago, the film follows a cult leader on trial after his followers are burned alive. The plot is partially inspired by the 1993 Waco, Texas, standoff involving the Branch Davidians and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Skeet Ulrich stars as the manipulative cult leader, while Neal McDonough portrays the assistant attorney general prosecuting the case. Haysbert will play the presiding judge, and Greene will appear as a court-appointed psychologist and cult deprogrammer.
