Dennis Man misses transfer to Lazio as club signs Gudmundsson

Romanian international Dennis Man has missed a potential transfer to the Italian Serie A club Lazio. Despite significant interest from the Rome-based side to bolster their offensive options before the transfer window closed, Lazio ultimately opted to secure Icelandic player Albert Gudmundsson on loan from Fiorentina.

Man, who plays for PSV Eindhoven, had been monitored by several Italian clubs, including Atalanta, but Lazio's pursuit of Gudmundsson effectively ended discussions regarding the Romanian winger. While Man had been a target for multiple Serie A teams this summer, including Fiorentina, the clubs ultimately moved forward with other targets such as Wilfried Gnonto for Fiorentina and Jonathan Rowede for Bologna.
