Dennis Rodman to join Trump on campaign trip amid North Korea diplomacy plans

Dennis Rodman is expected to join President Trump on a midterm campaign trip to Durant, Oklahoma, later this week. The former NBA champion, who attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University, is slated to participate in a campaign event on Thursday.

Following the midterm elections, President Trump reportedly intends to refocus diplomatic efforts on North Korea and engage in discussions with leader Kim Jong Un. Rodman, who has traveled to North Korea at least five times between 2013 and 2017, is viewed by sources as a potential ‘ambassador of goodwill’ between the two nations. Trump has reportedly been soliciting ideas from Rodman as he considers future engagement with the North Korean leader, who is known to be a basketball enthusiast.
