Dennis Schröder joins Charlotte Hornets as mentor to German rookies

Dennis Schröder has joined the Charlotte Hornets, marking his twelfth NBA team. This move places him near an NBA record for the most franchises played for, trailing only Ish Smith, who has played for thirteen teams.

In his new role, the 33-year-old German veteran will serve as a mentor to two young German rookies, Hannes Steinbach and Christian Anderson, both aged 20. Schröder expressed his intention to guide the newcomers through their rookie seasons to make their transition into the league as smooth as possible.

Schröder, a World and European Champion, noted that his 14 years of experience in the league provides him with a unique perspective to support the young players as they begin their professional careers in North America.
