Dennis Seimen makes Champions League debut for VfB Stuttgart

Dennis Seimen, the 18-year-old goalkeeper for VfB Stuttgart, became the youngest goalkeeper to play in a Champions League match for the club during a 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid. The German international, who holds Romanian citizenship through his mother, made his full appearance in the third round of the league phase.

Despite interest from the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) to represent the Romanian national team, Seimen has reportedly declined the possibility. Former player Ciprian Marica indicated that while the FRF attempted to establish contact, the goalkeeper is not interested in playing for Romania. Seimen has represented Germany at all junior levels from U16 to U21 and is currently considered a prospect for Bayern Munich.
