Actor Dennis Trillo has called for an end to online bashing following a renewed controversy involving his wife, Jennylyn Mercado, and her former partner, Patrick Garcia. In a post on Threads, Trillo urged netizens to choose kindness and move past the issue for the sake of the children involved, stating, “Simula bukas, tigil na po ang bashing ok? Magmahalan na tayo ulit, past is past, magpapasko na at kawawa na ang mga bata.”

The plea follows recent public statements made by Garcia in an interview with Ogie Diaz, where he disputed claims that he abandoned Mercado during her pregnancy with their son, Alex Jazz. Garcia maintained that he did not intend to be a bad person and claimed that Mercado eventually cut him off from their lives.

Trillo had previously shared cryptic social media posts that many interpreted as reactions to Garcia’s comments. These included a post expressing opposition to online attacks and a video featuring a tote bag with the phrase “Not Today Satan.”
