Denny Hamlin tops NASCAR power rankings after Richmond finish

Denny Hamlin has returned to the top of the NASCAR power rankings following a fourth-place finish at the Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway. This performance marks his fourth consecutive top-five finish and his fifth in the last six races.

Despite the strong result, Hamlin noted that a mechanical issue during pit stops could have altered the outcome. A broken left-side jack stop caused delays during the final two green-flag pit stops, with each stop taking over 12 seconds. Hamlin stated that the car was extremely fast during the final 100 laps, but the pit road delays left him 11 seconds behind race winner Joey Logano.

Other notable performances include Chase Briscoe, who finished second, and Christopher Bell, who dropped in the rankings after a seventh-place finish. Joey Logano’s victory and recent performance have moved him into ninth in the overall standings, positioning him as a potential championship contender.
