Denpasar reports boarding house fire and fatal traffic accident

Two separate incidents were reported in Denpasar, Bali, involving a fire and a fatal traffic accident.

A fire destroyed four semi-permanent boarding house rooms on Jalan Marlboro XIV, Pemecutan Klod, on Tuesday night. The blaze is suspected to have been caused by a resident, Evi Nurjana, leaving a stove unattended while frying food to go purchase fuel. The fire caused panic among local residents before being addressed.

In a separate incident on Tuesday morning, a 20-year-old man named Ketut Sudarman died following a collision on Jalan Tukad Pancoran. The victim, originally from South Sumatra, was riding a Honda Scoopy when his vehicle reportedly veered into the opposite lane, striking a three-wheeled Viar vehicle driven by I Wayan Slamet Ariadi. The victim was evacuated to RSUP Prof. Ngoerah Denpasar.
