Dental industry focuses on AI technology and medical tourism

Global dental professionals are highlighting the transformative impact of technology and specialized services within the industry. At the 55th Annual Congress of the Spanish Society of Stomatological Prosthetics and Aesthetics (SEPES) in Málaga, experts discussed how artificial intelligence and robotics are enabling faster, more precise, and more accessible dental treatments. The congress emphasized using technology to plan treatments with greater accuracy and anticipate complications to increase patient safety.

In the Dominican Republic, the XXVI National and International Congress of Dentistry (CONAOD XXVI) focused on the growth potential of medical and dental tourism. Discussions led by the Dominican College of Dentists and the Dominican Association of Health Tourism highlighted how this sector can drive investment, create specialized jobs, and stimulate infrastructure development. Experts noted that strengthening international standards and public-private collaboration is essential to ensuring that high-quality care for international patients also benefits the local population.
