Dentalzorg in Netherlands Hit by Ransomware Attack, Patient Data Potentially Exposed

Dentalzorg, a Dutch dental care provider, confirmed that it suffered a ransomware cyberattack on Wednesday, 6 May 2026. The intrusion may have resulted in a data breach affecting patient records that could include names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, BSN numbers and billing codes. The investigation has not yet verified that any personal data was actually leaked.

The clinic has engaged external cybersecurity specialists to contain the incident and is informing patients about possible phishing attempts that could use any compromised information. Patients are advised not to share personal or financial details in response to unsolicited communications and to verify any requests through official channels.
