Dentist in Turkey seeks waitressing work amid unemployment concerns

A recent viral video from a young dentist in Turkey has highlighted growing concerns regarding university graduate unemployment and structural issues within the healthcare sector. After completing five years of dental school, the graduate reported having to apply for waitressing positions to sustain a livelihood.

The dentist noted that the situation reflects a broader crisis where new professionals face difficult working conditions in the private sector or an inability to find stable employment. Additionally, the professional pointed to a systemic issue in public healthcare, where patients struggle to secure appointments while practitioners are pressured to see numerous patients in very short timeframes, potentially impacting the quality of care.
