Dentistry education and professional development trends
New initiatives are emerging in the field of cosmetic dentistry to facilitate international knowledge exchange. Dr. Maciej Żarow, president of the European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry (ESCD), is launching a new discussion series titled ‘Kawa u Żarowa’. The series aims to provide dentists with insights into clinical challenges and professional experiences through conversations with international experts, moving beyond traditional technical lectures.
Additionally, students are increasingly looking toward international options for affordable dental education. According to data from Study International, several countries offer relatively low tuition fees for dentistry programs. European options include Germany, where many public universities do not charge tuition, as well as Lithuania, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, and Georgia. Specific annual costs vary, such as approximately 7,000 euros in Serbia or 10,000 euros in Romania, depending on the institution and language of instruction.
