Dentons expands global legal expertise with new partner appointments

Global law firm Dentons has announced several key partner appointments to strengthen its specialized practices across different regions.

In Australia, the firm has appointed Jack Brumpton and Pierre Chao in Brisbane. Brumpton brings expertise in energy, infrastructure, and energy transition projects, including renewables, hydrogen, and carbon markets. Chao, a former Australian Taxation Office official, specializes in federal taxation law, including income tax and capital gains, with specific experience assisting clients from China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

In the United Kingdom, Dentons has recruited restructuring partner Kevin Heverin from Baker McKenzie in London. Heverin, recognized as a ‘Next Generation’ partner by The Legal 500, focuses on complex financial restructurings, distressed M&A, and capital solutions. His appointment is intended to bolster the firm’s ability to manage cross-border mandates and respond to macroeconomic complexities.
