Naruto franchise launches major global project ‘PROJECT RASENGAN’

TV Tokyo has announced ‘PROJECT RASENGAN’, a major global initiative aimed at expanding the ‘NARUTO’ brand across multiple media platforms. The project was unveiled at New York Comic Con 2026.

Key components of the project include the production of a new crossover animation titled ‘NARUTO-Naruto x NINKŪ-’, supervised by original creators Masashi Kishimoto and Koji Kiriyama. Additionally, Masashi Kishimoto will write a new manga series for the franchise.

The expansion also covers gaming and merchandise. Bandai Namco Entertainment and Bandai Spirits will launch a new ‘NARUTO Card Game’ globally in June 2027. Furthermore, the mobile action game ‘Hokage Ninja MOBILE’ has been confirmed for a worldwide release, following its success in mainland China.
