Denver Broncos activate Jonathon Cooper and Jonah Coleman

The Denver Broncos have activated edge rusher Jonathon Cooper and rookie running back Jonah Coleman to their 53-man roster. Cooper returns after spending the first six weeks of the season on the NFL Commissioner’s Exempt List, while Coleman returns from a high-ankle sprain that sidelined him for four games.

To accommodate these activations, the Broncos are placing outside linebacker Jonah Elliss and running back Tyler Badie on short-term injured reserve. Elliss is dealing with a lower-body injury sustained during a recent game against the Seattle Seahawks, and Badie is sidelined for a minimum of four weeks due to a thumb injury.

The return of Cooper is expected to bolster the Broncos' pass rush and run defense, while Coleman's availability provides a potential boost to an offense looking to improve its performance ahead of the matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.
