Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton to resume play-calling duties

Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton has announced he will resume play-calling duties for the upcoming game against the Los Angeles Chargers, removing the responsibility from offensive coordinator Davis Webb.

The decision follows a period of offensive struggles for the Broncos, characterized by an erratic aerial attack, a lack of commitment to the running game, and difficulty scoring points. Webb, who is in his fourth year of NFL coaching, expressed disappointment regarding the change but reaffirmed his commitment to the team and his role as offensive coordinator.

Webb noted that he had prepared himself for various professional scenarios when accepting the position. He emphasized his desire to be a supportive teammate and to help the offense succeed moving forward, despite the setback in his responsibilities.
