Denver Broncos conclude training camp with Waddle touchdown

During the final day of the Denver Broncos' training camp, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle returned to practice and recorded a 60-yard touchdown on a pass from quarterback Bo Nix. The play occurred while cornerback Pat Surtain II was in coverage. Head coach Sean Payton noted Waddle’s ability to separate and his effectiveness after the catch, though he mentioned being mindful of the player's recovery from a previous injury.

Looking ahead to the second preseason game against the Green Bay Packers, head coach Sean Payton stated the team aims to play Bo Nix and the starters for approximately 14 snaps. Nix, who has not played in a game since fracturing his ankle in January, expressed excitement about returning to play in front of the home crowd. The practice session also included updates on several players on the injury watch, including Alex Forsyth, Levelle Bailey, Drew Sanders, Michael Bandy, and Caleb Lohner.
